Terms of Supply & Service
Standard Commercial & Manufacturing Terms | Lontion Industrial Ceramics (Dongguan) Co., Ltd.
1. Applicability & Quotation Validity
These Terms of Supply apply to all custom manufacturing services, engineering evaluations, component quotations, and supply agreements provided by Lontion Industrial Ceramics (Dongguan) Co., Ltd. ("Lontion"). Unless otherwise stated in a formal written proposal, all technical quotations remain valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issuance.
2. Engineering Specifications & Manufacturing Tolerances
Custom ceramic components are fabricated according to the approved 2D technical drawings and material specifications explicitly confirmed in writing by both parties prior to production initiation.
- Dimensional Tolerances: Unless specific precision tolerances (e.g., ±0.002mm via diamond grinding) are explicitly stipulated in the purchase order, standard manufacturing tolerances adhere to DIN ISO 2768-m for ceramic machining.
- Material Property Deviations: Ceramic material properties (density, dielectric strength, flexural strength) reflect standard batch ranges for high-purity formulations (e.g., 99.5% Alumina, Y-TZP Zirconia) tested under controlled laboratory conditions.
3. Tooling, Molds & Custom Fixtures
Tooling, die sets, or custom grinding fixtures fabricated for specialized ceramic forming (isostatic pressing, dry pressing, or injection molding) remain the physical property of Lontion. Payment of a tooling NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) charge grants the customer exclusive production rights for that geometry; such tooling will not be utilized for third-party orders without customer consent.
4. Prototyping & Production Approval
For non-standard or complex custom geometries, initial prototype samples or First Article Inspection (FAI) reports can be submitted for customer approval prior to full batch execution. Mass production schedules commence upon receipt of formal written sample sign-off and agreed advance payment terms.
5. Inspection, Quality Claims & Acceptance
Customers are required to inspect delivered components upon receipt. Any claims regarding quantity discrepancies, surface defects, or dimensional out-of-tolerance parameters must be submitted in writing within thirty (30) calendar days of shipment arrival, accompanied by detailed inspection metrics or CMM reports.
Upon verification of a manufacturing non-conformance attributable to Lontion, our liability is limited to either re-machining/replacing the defective parts or issuing a corresponding credit note for the non-conforming items.
6. Lead Times & Delivery Terms (INCOTERMS 2020)
Production lead times quoted are estimates calculated from the date of final drawing approval, sample confirmation, and receipt of deposit payment. Unless otherwise designated in the formal proforma invoice, international shipments are fulfilled by default under EXW Dongguan or FOB Shenzhen (INCOTERMS 2020). Alternative terms, such as CIF or DDP, are available upon commercial negotiation and mutual agreement.
7. Limitation of Liability & Force Majeure
Lontion shall not be liable for secondary, indirect, or consequential damages (including loss of production down-time or field labor costs) resulting from component use or installation. Neither party shall be held liable for failure or delay in performance caused by Force Majeure events, including raw material supply disruptions, natural disasters, or international transport embargoes.
